In parallel with the five days of competition, the Défi sportif proposes special events to foster greater social integration of people with disabilities.
Benefit concert
The benefit performance of the Défi sportif gathers annually over 1000 people, mainly from the Quebec business community, for this must-attend event. This year’s exceptional show features Judi Richards’ Au septième ciel with Daniel Lavoie, Toulouse and Yvon Deschamps, a rather strong believer in the Défi sportif since he was event spokesperson for 13 years, from 1985 to 1997!

The Défi sportif and the Réseau des Sports present the Défi sportif des Stars! High level athletes and celebrities from the artistic and sports scene get together for a passionate evening packed with action. Hotly contested wheelchair basketball and rugby competitions! Atmosphere and fun guaranteed!

National Bank "Faites la différence" Luncheon
Along with the National Bank’s Equity and Diversity at work department, Défi sportif organizes this gathering to heighten management’s awareness of the potential of people with disabilities. The main objective is to boost the hiring and the integration of people living with a disability within the Bank. The National Bank values the diversity of talents of all its employees, including those with disabilities.

11th Partners Day
This annual meeting is organized by the Table de concertation pour le loisir des personnes handicapées de Montréal. The event aims to facilitate exchanges between the municipal interveners and representatives from organisations, dedicated to leisure for people with disabilities. Over 150 people are expected to come and learn more about the services and programmes accessible to people living with a disability.

6th Rehabilitation Day
Rehabilitation Day is at the heart of a three-year partnership between the Association of centres for physical disabilities rehabilitation of Québec (AERDPQ) and Défi sportif. Activities on the agenda are aimed at sensitizing the interveners and promoting physical activity, sports and leisure within the rehabilitation process. The fact of being able to speak with athletes, coaches and interveners present at the event surely adds to the quality of this event.

Discover adapted sports with Loto-Québec
Loto-Québec is proud to offer a reception and information service to heighten awareness regarding adapted sports. At the competition sites reception area, guides will offer information on the peculiarities of the featured sports in order to allow the visitors to fully appreciate the show.
